Services
Gradient Hydrologic offers custom services in environmental sampling, data analysis, and reporting that are designed to fit individual needs. Services are listed below, and examples of project outcomes are on the the Project Outcomes page.

Hydrologic and geochemical monitoring
Environmental sampling including groundwater, surface water, lakes, and precipitation

Geochemical and contaminant transport modeling
Offering a wide range of modeling services including PHREEQC, groundwater age and tracer simulation, and stream transport

Detailed assessment of groundwater/surface-water interactions
Mapping and quantification of exchanges between groundwater and surface water designed to protect stream habitat and develop water balance estimates

Isotope hydrology
Use of naturally occurring environmental isotopes of hydrogen, oxygen, sulfur, carbon, strontium, and uranium to trace fluid movement and solute transport

Groundwater residence time modeling
Application of tritium, carbon-14, radon-222, and noble gases to trace the “age” of groundwater and identify susceptibility of groundwater to changing conditions

Geothermal assessments
Evaluation of subsurface conditions such as reservoir temperatures and mixing dynamics, and mapping of geothermal features

tracer injection and analysis
Injection of tracer dyes and salt tracers to identify flow paths and quantify subsurface transit times

environmental statistics
Advanced data analysis and interpretation using techniques such as principal components analysis and trend evaluation
